RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Security forces have killed 12 terrorists belonging to Indian proxy Fitna Al Hindustan in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Kalat district, the military’s media wing said on Friday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted on the reported presence of terrorists on September 2.
During the conduct of the operation, a terrorist hideout was identified, monitored, and busted through prompt surgical action, killing all 12 Indian sponsored terrorists, ISPR said.
“A cache of ammunition and improvised explosive devices was also destroyed on-site,” it added.
The statement said that the sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area.
“Relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.”
Infiltration attempt foiled
Security forces killed 15 militants belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij in an infiltration attempt along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in North Waziristan, the Inter-Services Public Relations said on Wednesday.
The ISPR said security forces detected the movement of militants during the night between Aug 31 and Sept 1 and launched a timely operation.
Security forces effectively engaged the group for 36 hours, resulting in the elimination of all 15 Khawarij. “A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from slain terrorists.”
The military’s media wing said the incident further reinforced Pakistan’s position that the Afghan Taliban regime has failed to prevent terrorist groups from operating from Afghan soil.
The ISPR said the Afghan Taliban regime had also repeatedly failed to ensure effective border management and fulfill its international obligations.
“Security forces remain committed to defending the country’s borders, while a sanitization operation is underway in the area to eliminate Indian-sponsored militants. Operations against foreign-sponsored terrorism will continue with full force until the threat is completely eliminated,” the statement concluded.
