107 stranded Pakistanis successfully evacuated from Iran amid rising tensions

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): In a recent development, the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has initiated special flights to help evacuate the stranded Pakistani Nationals in Iran.

PIA initiated the special flight on the order of the government, after which the plane PK 9552 successfully evacuated 107 Pakistani Nationals from Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.

According to the spokesperson, due to the closure of Iranian airspace, these Pakistani citizens had reached Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, by land, from where they were brought back home by a special flight.

Pakistani embassies in Tehran and Ashgabat played a key role in this process, while the special flight of the national airline was sent on the instructions of the government of Pakistan.

The passengers appreciated the timely steps of the government and the national airline for their safe return and said that such services in difficult times are a continuation of national traditions.
