KARACHI (Kashmir English): Peshawar Zalmi defeated Quetta Gladiators by 118 runs in a PSL game at the National Stadium in Karachi on Sunday.
Zalmi continued their unbeaten streak in PSL 11 with a dominant performance, posting the highest-ever PSL total in Karachi. Batting first, Peshawar Zalmi scored 255/3 in the allotted 20 overs.
Babar Azam scored a century (100*) off the final ball of the innings. Kusal Mendis added 83 off 44 balls in a 135-run partnership with Babar.
In reply, Quetta Gladiators were all out for 137 in 18.1 overs. Bevon Jacobs remained the top scorer for Quetta with 34 runs. For Peshawar Zalmi, Ali Raza claimed 3/9 in 3.1 overs. Mohammad Basit Ali took 3/26 in 4 overs.
PSL 2026
The 2026 Pakistan Super League is currently in its league stage, with Peshawar Zalmi dominating the standings as the only undefeated team to date.
The tournament, which expanded to eight teams this year, has already seen the elimination of the debutant franchise Rawalpindiz after they lost seven consecutive matches.
Peshawar Zalmi has officially qualified for the playoffs, while Rawalpindiz is out of contention.
