QUETTA (Kashmir English): Pakistan Customs has suspended additional officers in the ongoing silver swap case after uncovering further evidence of involvement, negligence, and inefficiency.
In continuation of its press release dated April 13, 2026, officials confirmed that one officer each from BS-20, BS-18, and BS-17, along with three officers from BS-16, have been suspended. A criminal investigation is currently underway, and those directly involved will be charged under FIR No. 01 dated April 13, 2026.
Authorities stated that all identified beneficiaries of the wrongdoing will be brought to justice. To ensure transparency and impartiality, three new officers have been posted to the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Quetta to lead the investigation.
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) reiterated its zero-tolerance policy against corruption, emphasizing that strict disciplinary action will be taken against those found guilty, regardless of rank or position.
