MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in different parts of the country including Azad Kashmir, while the weather is likely to remain cold and dry in some areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, changes in weather conditions are expected in different parts of the country, so citizens and travelers have been instructed to take precautionary measures.
According to the details, the weather will remain cold and dry in most areas of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan; however, light rain is expected in some upper places.
The Meteorological Department says that areas of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Chitral, Dir, Kohistan, and Swat, may also see light rain and an increase in cold.
The weather has been predicted to remain dry in Islamabad and its surroundings, while the intensity of cold is likely to increase in Murree, Galiyat, and adjacent mountainous areas at night and in the morning, due to which local citizens and tourists will need to wear appropriate clothing and make preparations while traveling.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain dry and partly warm in most districts of Sindh and Balochistan. Karachi will remain hot during the day, and the temperature is likely to reach 38 degrees Celsius; however, the weather will remain relatively cool at night.
The agency’s Early Warning Center has warned that the heat intensity may increase further in Karachi and the southern regions in the coming days.
According to the Meteorological Department, the increase in heat is due to dry northwesterly winds coming from Balochistan, which may also pose a challenge for citizens.
The Meteorological Department has directed citizens to take precautionary measures in view of the change in weather. People traveling to the upper areas, in particular, have been advised to leave with proper preparations in terms of possible rain and cold to avoid any difficulties or unexpected situations.
