LAHORE (Kashmir English): Pakistan Railways has implemented a new winter schedule for train operations in the country, which comes into effect from October 16, 2025.
The new timetable has been introduced to facilitate smoother travel and improved punctuality during winter, with multiple trains experiencing alterations in departure times and stops.
Seasonal timetable adjustments are a normal practice by Pakistan Railways to help with the weather and passenger demand. Pakistan Railways’ current winter schedule has operation optimizations and the resumption of suspended services to enhance connectivity across the country.
The departure times of 16 trains have been slightly adjusted, while three trains have had some stops eliminated, says an official release. Four suspended trains have been reinstated and added back into the schedule.

Some of the significant changes are: As good news, nine trains which had temporary stops at some stations earlier have been given permanent stops now, namely Rehman Baba Express, Karachi Express, Shalimar Express, Jaffar Express, Pak Business Express, Pakpattan Express, Tezgam, and Millat Express.
A Pakistan Railways spokesman said,
“The new schedule is part of our efforts to improve passenger convenience and simplify operations during the winter months.”
With these improvements, Pakistan Railways expects to deliver enhanced efficiency, punctuality, and passenger satisfaction during the winter travel season.
