NEW DELHI (Kashmir English): India has rejected visas for four US cricketers representing their team for the T20 World Cup 2026 due to their Pakistani roots.

Fast bowler Ali Khan, who plays for the US, announced the rejection of visas on social media.

Ali Khan’s social media post also includes Shayan Jahangir.

In addition to these two cricketers, Ehsan Adil and Muhammad Mohsin have also been denied visas.

The visa denial has raised questions about the US cricket team’s participation and preparations for the World Cup.

The decision is being seen as a violation of the principle of keeping sports separate from politics.

There has been no official response from Indian authorities or the International Cricket Council (ICC) so far.

It should be noted that the US team is in the group along with Pakistan, India, Namibia, and the Netherlands in the T20 World Cup starting from February 7 in India.

The US team will play its first match against India on February 7 in the mega T20 event.
