WASHINGTON (Kashmir English): US President Donald Trump has stated that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 tons of diesel to the US and the global market.
In his statement, President Trump mentioned having a highly successful conversation with Russian President Putin, noting that Russia would immediately supply an additional 500,000 tons of diesel in November.
Trump added that Russia would supply another 1 million tons of diesel after November.
According to the Russian presidential office, the telephone conversation between Putin and Trump lasted an hour and a half, covering topics such as the prospects for resolving the Ukraine crisis and the issue of Iran.
The Kremlin stated that Putin informed Trump that Russia would consider the timing for resuming peace talks, while the US President appreciated Russia’s role in resolving the Iran dispute.
The Russian President remarked that the presence of Russian oil in the US market would have a positive overall impact on the global economy.
The Kremlin added that both presidents intend to attend the summit scheduled to be held in China in November.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump had stated that he would soon make a major announcement regarding diesel prices.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, the US President claimed that record-high prices in global markets would soon drop significantly, that Iran had been prevented from acquiring nuclear weapons, that diesel prices would see a major reduction very soon, and that the entire matter would be resolved shortly.
