Muzaffarabad pays tribute to Armed Forces with cultural event

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Department of Sports, Youth and Culture organised a special Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos tribute event to honour the remarkable achievements of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

The cultural event featured a stage play and powerful performances of national songs, drawing a large audience in Muzaffarabad.

Former Pakistan national cricket team player Ahmed Shehzad attended the event as the chief guest.

The Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos tribute event brought together some of Azad Kashmir’s most celebrated artists and singers, who paid homage to the bravery of the armed forces through patriotic performances.

Merging their voices, Bano Rehmat, Nadir Swati, Aashiq Butt, Shakeel Mir, Raja Imran, Nouman Ali, Dilawar Abbas, Basit Sheikh, Nabila and Tania Butt impressed the people with amazing national songs.

The songs strengthened the feeling of unity and patriotism during the entire evening.

Ishtiaq Atish and his team presented an original drama named Maraka-e-Haq in the second part of Operation Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos tribute event.

People who saw the play praised its strong meaning and appreciated the incredible acting.

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Director of Sports, Youth and Culture Malik Shaukat Hayat Khan; senior PPP leader and former legislative assembly candidate Shaukat Javed Mir; Director of Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Cell Dr Raja Sajjad Khan; Commissioner Muzaffarabad Division Chaudhry Guftar Hussain; Deputy Commissioner Mudassar Farooq; and SSP Reserve Headquarters Syed Abbas Ali Shah. A big group of people came out to express their support.

The cultural event dedicated to Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos celebrated and paid a sincere tribute to those who fought and served. The organisers used song and drama to share the pride of those living in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
