RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Security forces killed ten Kharijites and lost six brave soldiers during operations in various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa between September 15 and 17, 2026.
According to the ISPR, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan following reports of the presence of Kharijites.
During the operation, the troops effectively targeted the Kharijites’ hideouts and, following an intense exchange of fire, eliminated six members of the Indian-backed Fitna-ul-Khawarij.
According to the ISPR, brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army eliminated another four Kharijites in a separate clash in Hangu.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed Indian-aligned Kharijites, who had been active in numerous terrorist activities in the area.
Moreover, the ISPR reported that on September 17, 2026, an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) blast targeted a security forces convoy, resulting in the martyrdom of six brave sons of the soil.
According to the ISPR, clearance operations are underway to eliminate any remaining Indian-aligned Kharijites in the region.
Counter-terrorism operations by security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue at full pace under ‘Operation Azm-e-Istihkam ‘, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, to root out the scourge of foreign-backed and foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
The ISPR states that these sacrifices made by our brave soldiers further reinforce our unwavering resolve to safeguard the nation at all costs.
