TANK (Kashmir English): A suicide bomber was killed as police personnel foiled a suicide attack attempt on the Manji Khel police post in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Tank district, sources said on Thursday.
As per the initial reports, a vehicle loaded with explosives attempted to ram into the wall of the police post, but the security officials responded quickly, effectively thwarting the objective of the terrorists.
After the incident, there was an intense exchange of fire between the police and the terrorists, sources said.
During the operation, one terrorist and the suicide bomber were killed.
The security forces have initiated a search and clearance operation in the area, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
