KP to receive immediate funds for peace and development in 12 districts
Key decisions have been made to immediately provide funds for peace and rapid development in 12 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
On Monday, a key meeting of the Regional Development Secretariat was held in Peshawar, presided over by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
The meeting was attended by the Corps Commander Peshawar, the Additional Chief Secretary, members of the Regional Development Secretariat, and other high-ranking civil and military officials.
During the meeting, it was decided to immediately release funds for peace and development in the 12 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while also reviewing the law and order situation, development needs, and issues faced by the public in these areas.
Decisions were made to ensure the immediate provision, timely release, and transparent utilization of development funds to foster sustainable peace and rapid development in Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank, and Dera Ismail Khan, as well as the merged districts.
The meeting reiterated the federal government’s commitment to taking effective measures—in collaboration with the provincial government—to address public grievances, accelerate the development process, and establish sustainable peace across these 12 districts.
Progress on ongoing development projects in the 12 districts was reviewed, with an emphasis placed on their timely completion.
Participants also discussed ensuring development planning and resource allocation in light of suggestions put forward by local elders and council representatives.
