RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has said that gas supply will be temporarily suspended in several areas of Rawalpindi city and cantonment due to construction work on the Peshawar Road underpass.

According to an SNGPL spokesperson, the company will connect the main gas pipeline as part of the ongoing construction work on the Peshawar Road underpass, requiring a temporary shutdown of gas supplies in several areas.

The spokesperson said gas supply will remain suspended from 8:30 pm on October 17 to 6 am on October 18.

During this time, gas supply will be suspended on both sides of Murree Road from Saddar to Faizabad. Similarly, gas supply will also be suspended in the areas of Golra Mor to Saddar, Adiala Road, and GT Road on Peshawar Road.

Several other localities, including Peshawar Road, Qasim Market and Westridge, will also be affected by the temporary suspension.

SNGPL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make alternative arrangements for their gas requirements during the shutdown. According to the schedule issued by the company, gas supply will be restored to all affected areas by 6 am on October 18.
