ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Security forces foiled another infiltration attempt by Fitna Al Khawarij terrorists in the Ghulam Khan sector along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
The terrorists were attempting to infiltrate from Afghanistan into Pakistan when security forces detected and promptly neutralized 15 terrorists.
According to security sources, the intruders included operatives associated with Commander Mazdegari Marwat and the Wazir group. Security forces foiled the infiltration attempt and killed all the armed men.
Sources said that a clearance operation is underway in the area to eliminate any remaining militants.
The reported incident comes amid Pakistan’s repeated calls for Afghan authorities to prevent their territory from being used by militant groups to carry out attacks inside Pakistan.
According to security sources, Afghan authorities have also been urged to take effective action against militant networks operating from their territory.
