MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) on Saturday announced that schools in Indian Kashmir will reopen on March 1 after the winter break.
The circular issued on Saturday instructed schools to create a festive atmosphere to welcome students back, ensuring a positive and engaging environment for the new academic session.
Furthermore, it also directed the heads of institutions to prepare well in advance by organizing institutional plans, setting timetables, and ensuring that school premises are cleaned and maintained.
The circular stresses that any necessary repairs, such as those related to drinking water, electricity, toilets, and window panes, must be completed before reopening.
Additionally, the Biometric/JK Attendance Portal must be fully functional and updated with current staff records. Complex and Cluster Heads are also directed to conduct sensitization sessions with schools under their jurisdiction to ensure proper preparation for the reopening.
The Directorate has emphasized the need for strict adherence to these guidelines, ensuring a smooth and festive reopening for all schools across Kashmir.
