MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mirpur has announced that the board exams, which were postponed earlier, will be resumed from Thursday, May 15, 2025.

“The revised practical roll number slips related to them will be uploaded on the board’s website on Tuesday, May 13,” the notification issued on Monday stated.

The board said that candidates will be able to download the revised practical roll number slips from the board’s website www.ajkbise.net with the help of their roll number.

“After getting the printout of the roll number slip, check the details mentioned on the slip (name of practical examination center, subjects, date, and working hours), etc,” it read.

The board exams and educational institutions were shut down last week due to the Indian missile and drone attacks on the civilian population in Azad Kashmir and areas in Pakistan, particularly Punjab.

Earlier on May 7, AJK BISE Mirpur postponed the intermediate and secondary examinations, scheduled from May 7 to May 10, 2025, across Azad Kashmir.

The education board delayed the Intermediate Part II Composite First Annual 2025 examination, scheduled from May 7 to May 9, and the Secondary Practical Examination First Annual 2025, set for May 7 to May 10.

“Students and concerned individuals are advised to regularly check the Board’s website and other reliable sources for updates on the revised examination dates,” the earlier notification read.

Apart from that, the Azad Kashmir government has announced that all educational institutions in the state will reopen from Tuesday, May 13.

The notification stated that the Secretary of Elementary and Secondary Education, AJK, has approved the reopening of all public and private educational institutions from May 12, 2025.

Earlier, the Azad Kashmir government had shut down all the educational institutions following unprovoked May 7 Indian aggression.
