ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): To mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, the Government of Pakistan has decided to come up with a commemorative coin of Rs. 75 denomination.
This coin will be made available for the general public starting from May 25, 2026, via the exchange counters of the field offices of SBP Banking Services Corporation.
It may be recalled that Pakistan and China formally put in place diplomatic relations on May 21, 1951. The commemorative coin shall be round in shape, with milling and a serrated edge, and the following specifications:
Obverse Side of the Rs 75 Coin
On the obverse side, the waxing crescent moon and a five-pointed star facing North-West, shown in a rising position, are placed right in the center.
Along the periphery, at the top portion, the crescent star area carries the wording “ISLAMI JAMHURIA PAKISTAN” in Urdu script. Below the crescent , and on the top of two springs of wheat, with arms curved upward, there is the year of issuance “2026”.
The face value, in the numeral “75” in bold letters, and “RUPIA” in Urdu script are written on the right and left sides of the crescent star respectively .
Reverse Side of the Coin
On the reverse side , the wording “75TH ANNIVERSARY OF PAKISTAN AND CHINA DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS” in English script is written along the periphery on the top side of the coin, while the words “TRUST FRIENDSHIP SUPPORT” in English Script are written along the periphery on the lower side.
In the center of the coin, the national flags of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the People’s Republic of China are shown. Below the national flags, an artistically designed numeral “75” is displayed , representing the event.
