MECCA (Kashmir English): Saudi authorities have issued important instructions to Umrah pilgrims to avoid crowding in Masjid al-Haram and to facilitate the performance of worship and rituals.
Pilgrims have been advised to choose their timings by keeping the rush situation in mind before going to Masjid al-Haram.
Low-crowd hours
According to Saudi authorities, pilgrims rush in Masjid al-Haram remains relatively low from 10 pm to 4 am and from 9 am to 4 pm. During these times, pilgrims can perform Tawaf, Sa’i, and other acts of worship with greater ease, the authorities said.
Rush hours
According to authorities, rush in Masjid al-Haram remains at a medium level from 5 am to 8 am, while the rush would be highest from 5 pm to 9 pm.
Pilgrims have been advised to avoid going to Masjid al-Haram during these times as much as possible.
Saudi authorities have also instructed Umrah pilgrims to benefit from the digital facilities and live crowding status available at Masjid al-Haram.
According to authorities, movement in the Mataf and Masa’a can be made easier by choosing an appropriate time.
Umrah pilgrims
According to a report, 920,500 Umrah pilgrims arrived in Saudi Arabia during the first one and a half months of the current Umrah season.
Statistics released earlier also indicated a 22.5% increase in the number of people coming to Saudi Arabia on Umrah visas.
In view of the increasing number of pilgrims, Saudi authorities have emphasized advance planning so that crowding in Masjid al-Haram can be better managed and pilgrims can perform Tawaf, Sa’i, and other rituals with greater convenience.
