KARACHI (Kashmir English): Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon has criticised the Pakistan Muslim League-N for having won the AJK elections through ‘Form-47 Plus’.
Reacting to the election results of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, he declared the results as ‘Form-47 Plus’.
Sharjeel Memon claimed that the recent election results of Azad Kashmir will be remembered as ‘Form-47 Plus’ in the future. According to him, PML-N was once again given a mandate through alleged rigging in the elections.
Fake mandate to PML-N
The Provincial Information Minister alleged that PML-N has received another fake mandate through historic rigging.
He stated that the public rejected PML-N in the 2024 and 2026 elections, but despite this, attempts were made to bring it into power. “Public popularity cannot be gained through a fake mandate.”
Sharjeel Memon said that a fake mandate can give PML-N an illegitimate government, but it cannot gain public support and popularity. He said that the decision of the people cannot be changed by any means.
The Sindh Information Minister said that the real strength of any political party is public support.
According to him, the mandate given to the PML-N through election results does not reflect a true representation of public endorsement.
Sharjeel Memon emphasized that it is essential to ensure transparency in the electoral process and the importance of the people’s vote.
According to him, only a free and transparent electoral process can play a vital role in the stability of democratic system.
