ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Sardar Aman Khan, a member of the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), has submitted his nomination papers with an affidavit to contest the upcoming elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

According to documents circulating on social media, Sardar Aman submitted an affidavit as part of the nomination process in which he declared support for the accession of Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan and expressed his commitment to accepting the election results.

The affidavit, shared online by senior journalist Syed Khalid Gardezi, states that the candidate supports Pakistan, supports the Pakistan Army, is not opposed to any government institution or administrative authority, and will accept the outcome of the electoral process.

The document further includes a declaration that he is not a core member of the JAAC.

Reacting to the affidavit, Syed Khalid raised questions regarding statements previously attributed to Sardar Aman and urged him to publicly reaffirm the contents of the declaration before his supporters.

The journalist argued that the commitments outlined in the affidavit should be reflected in public speeches and political activities, particularly at a time when tensions and political divisions have emerged in parts of AJK.
