ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Police sources have denied reports circulating on social media that a core member of the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), Shaukat Nawaz Mir, has been arrested.
The police sources said that there is no truth in the news of Mir’s arrest, also declaring BBC Urdu’s news regarding his arrest false.
Sources further added that efforts for the arrest of the highly-wanted offender continue.
Earlier, BBC Urdu and other media outlets reported that the JAAC leader was arrested in the Dhirkot Tehsil of the Bagh district.
