ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has been shifted from Adiala Jail to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad.
According to media reports, two routes were allocated for the PTI founder to Shifa Hospital. The founder’s squad will be provided with A-plus category security.
The PTI founder will be shifted to the fourth floor of F Block of Shifa International Hospital. Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was also kept in the same block.
Earlier, strict security arrangements were put in place outside Shifa International Hospital, and a heavy police force was also deployed. Vehicles parked on the roadside around the hospital were removed using lifters.
The police had blocked the roads leading to the hospital and closed them to traffic. The IG Islamabad also visited Shifa International Hospital to review the arrangements.
According to hospital sources, special arrangements have been made for Imran Khan’s treatment. Upon reaching the hospital, he will undergo a preliminary medical examination in the emergency room, for which a team of 6 expert doctors is ready.
Sources say that after the examination by the doctors, a decision will be made whether to admit Imran Khan to the hospital or not. If he is admitted, special arrangements have also been completed in this regard.
