LAHORE (Kashmir English): Lahore Qalandars’ Fakhar Zaman has been charged with a level three offence for tampering with the ball in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has issued a notice for violations of the Code of Conduct.
According to the PCB, Lahore Qalandars’ Fakhar Zaman has been charged with a level three offence. Fakhar violated Article 41.3 of the PSL playing conditions.
The PCB states that this violation is related to damaging the ball’s condition. According to the PCB, match referee Roshan Mahnama held a disciplinary hearing.
The PCB says that a further hearing of Fakhar Zaman’s case will be held in the next 48 hours. The match referee will announce the decision after the hearing.
It should be noted that in the sixth match of HBL PSL 11, Lahore Qalandars faced a 5-run penalty for changing the condition of the ball in the Karachi Kings’ innings.
The field umpire awarded 5 penalty runs to Karachi Kings due to dissatisfaction with the condition of the ball.
The umpires also decided to change the ball due to a change in the condition of the ball.
