HAVELI (Kashmir English): President Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Chancellor Azad Jammu and Kashmir Universities, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, has approved the appointment of Professor Dr. Khawaja Farooq Ahmed as the first Vice Chancellor of Azad Jammu and Kashmir University of Haveli.
The selection was made by the President, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, in exercise of his powers under Section 44 of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir University of Haveli Act.
President Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Chancellor Azad Jammu and Kashmir Universities, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, said that I had announced the establishment of Azad Jammu and Kashmir University of Haveli during my visit to Haveli.
Now that the University of Haveli has been formally established, it is great news for the people of Haveli.
On this occasion, President Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Chancellor Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, directed the newly appointed Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Khawaja Farooq Ahmed to leave no stone unturned to improve the quality of education at Azad Jammu and Kashmir University of Haveli and bring Jamia Haveli in the ranking of other universities in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan.
In this regard, President Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Chancellor Azad Jammu and Kashmir Universities, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, also assured his full cooperation.
