KHAIRPUR (Kashmir English): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asfandyar Kharal won the by-election of Khairpur constituency PS-30 with a landslide victory.
On Sunday, polling in the by-election of Khairpur constituency PS-30 continued from 8 am to 5 pm. 164 polling stations were set up for voting in the constituency.
The unofficial and unofficial results of all 164 polling stations of PS-30 have been revealed, according to which Pakistan Peoples Party’s Asfandyar Kharal secured 48,986 votes.
Independent candidate Tawasur Mehdi Shah, who came in second, secured 1,299 votes.
The returning officer has also issued Form 47. The polling rate in the by-election was only 20.53 percent.
It should be noted that the seat of the PS-30 constituency had fallen vacant after the death of PPP’s Naeem Kharal.
