BAGH (Kashmir English): The final results of two constituencies in Bagh district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir have been announced, with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) securing one seat each.
In LA-15 Bagh-II, PPP candidate Zia-ul-Qamar emerged victorious after securing 17,124 votes. PML-N candidate Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas finished second with 15,295 votes, while Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Muhammad Khan secured 12,289 votes and stood third.
The constituency has a total of 114,937 registered voters, including 59,184 male and 55,753 female voters. All 213 polling stations were included in the final count.
Meanwhile, in LA-16 Bagh-III, PML-N candidate Sardar Mir Akbar Khan secured victory with 20,793 votes.
PPP candidate Qamar-uz-Zaman Khan finished runner-up with 16,963 votes, while IPP candidate Ijaz Ahmed received 13 votes.
The constituency has 106,721 registered voters, comprising 55,381 male and 51,340 female voters. The final results were compiled from all 186 polling stations.
