ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Eight Islamic countries, including Pakistan, have strongly condemned Israel’s rejection of a Palestinian state and US President Donald Trump’s Gaza Comprehensive Plan.

In a joint statement, the eight Muslim countries have called Israel’s stance a direct obstacle to efforts to end the war in Gaza and achieve lasting peace.

The foreign ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have said in a joint statement that Israel’s rejection of Trump’s Gaza Comprehensive Plan roadmap is a clear refusal to implement the plan.

According to the joint statement, the Gaza roadmap includes the withdrawal of Israeli forces, the deployment of an international stabilization force in Gaza, the handover of Gaza’s management to a national committee, and the reconstruction of Gaza.

The eight Islamic countries have called on the US to ensure Israel’s full implementation of the Gaza plan.

The statement warns that Israel will also be responsible for the situation arising as a result of Israel’s refusal, obstruction or delay.

Islamic countries have rejected every attempt to deny the establishment of a Palestinian state, saying that the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, can be the basis for lasting peace and stability in the region.

It should be remembered that recently, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu had rejected US President Donald Trump’s 15-point plan for Gaza by the Peace Board.

According to Israeli media, Netanyahu rejected the 15-point document of the Gaza Peace Board and said that the Israeli army will not withdraw from Gaza until Hamas is truly disarmed.

Netanyahu said that Israel does not want Hamas’s mere apparent or imaginary weakness, but rather its complete elimination of its real military capabilities.
