RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Poonch Rawalakot has announced what it said an unprecedented welcome for the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir on the occasion of his visit to Rawalakot on December 13, 2025.
They also hoped that the prime minister will announce a historic package for Poonch Rawalakot, which will make it possible to address the deprivations of Poonch.
This was announced by former minister Sardar Abid Hussain Abid while holding a crowded press conference at Ghazi-e-Millat Press Club Rawalakot along with Poonch District President and Councilor Sardar Amir Khurshid, Secretary General People’s Lawyer Forum Raja Ijaz Advocate, Secretary General PSF Arbaz Mustafa, former government advisor Azeem Khan Advocate, Central Deputy Chief Organizer Sardar Ijaz Siddiqui Advocate, and others.
Abid said the past of Pakistan People’s Party is a witness that whenever the party came to power, public deprivations were redressed.
He said the current government has taken historic steps in less than 2 months. The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir has proven in a very short period of time that the PPP’s is the only government that has a solution and agenda for the people’s problems. The former minister said all ongoing and stalled development projects that require funds will be completed.
First official visit of a PM after 2016
He said that this will be the first official visit of a Prime Minister after 2016, while all the Prime Ministers who came Rawalakot earlier did not come on an official visit.
He said that along with the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, other ministers and important personalities including former Prime Ministers will also be present on this visit, while the Prime Minister will also make important announcements for Poonch that will change the history of this region.
