ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government on Friday reduced the petrol and diesel prices, effective from Saturday, August 29, a day after a decrease was observed.
According to the notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol was lowered by Rs 0.58 per liter and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs 0.17 per liter.
“The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has revised the ex-depot prices of the petroleum products for August 29 to 31, 2026,” the notification stated.
With the latest revision, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 342.2 per liter and diesel at Rs 371.44 per liter.
On August 27, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) lowered the petrol price to Rs 342.60 per liter and the diesel price to Rs 371.61 per liter.
The revised prices are in line with the government’s ongoing policy of issuing fuel prices on a daily basis from Monday to Friday based on international oil markets.
