ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government on Thursday increased the petrol and diesel prices by Rs 1.09 per liter and Rs 2.42 per liter, respectively, for July 31, amid recent fluctuations in global oil prices following renewed hostilities in the Middle East.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has revised the new ex-depot prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) effective from tonight, the notification issued by the Petroleum Division stated.

With the latest revision, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 336.15 per liter and diesel at Rs 393.304 per liter.
