ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The schedule of T20I matches of Australia’s tour of Pakistan in January has been announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The T20I series consists of three matches that will be held in Lahore at Gaddafi Stadium on the dates of 29, 31 January, and 1 February. The Australian team for the T20I will land in Lahore on 28 January.

The toss for every match will occur at 5:30 PM PKT, and it is estimated that the first ball will be bowled at 6 PM PKT. The upcoming series is a major opportunity for both teams to get accustomed to the game before the ICC Men’s T20I World Cup 2026, where, simultaneously, Pakistan will be in Group A and Australia in Group B.

This will be Australia’s third visit to Pakistan after the March-April 2022 tour, when they played a three-match Test and ODI series, and a single T20I later on. Besides, they have already played three of their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 matches in the country.

In the only T20I match that took place at Gaddafi Stadium on 5 April 2022, Australia won by three wickets. Sumair Ahmed Syed, COO PCB: “It is a matter of excitement for us, and we are looking forward to hosting Australia for the three-match T20I series in Lahore.

The tour is a great start to the year for fans of Pakistan Cricket, so I request them to come in large numbers and support the teams in their final preparation for the T20 World Cup.” “Gaddafi Stadium has certainly become a familiar place for the Australian cricket team as they have played a test, five ODIs, and one T20I here since March 2022.”
