LAHORE (KASHMIR ENGLISH): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has denied reports regarding the preparation of a report on national team batter Imam-ul-Haq.
A statement issued by the PCB clarified that reports concerning the preparation of a dossier on Imam-ul-Haq are incorrect and baseless.
According to the board, investigations by relevant authorities regarding dressing room leaks and other matters are ongoing; however, no report against any player has been finalized at this stage.
The PCB emphasized that speculation and unverified information regarding the investigation should not be presented as fact. A conclusion will only be reached based on information that emerges during the investigative process.
It is worth noting that national team players Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan were required to appear before the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency regarding alleged dressing room leaks.
Both players were questioned about the alleged disclosure of sensitive dressing room information during the England series and details concerning their mobile phones.
Investigations covering various aspects, including the forensic analysis of the players’ mobile phones, are underway; however, the PCB has reiterated that no report has been prepared against any player at this time.
