MUZAFFARBAD (Kashmir English): Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir to hold a protest in Muzaffarabad on December 10 on the International Human Rights Day against the ongoing Indian atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement issued on Monday, Chairman of the Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, has appealed to the people to participate in the anti-India protest and become the voice of the oppressed Kashmiris.

Ghazali further said that on December 10 at 11 am, a full-scale protest demonstration will be held in front of the Central Press Club, Muzaffarabad, against India’s anti-human rights policies and state terrorism, where the speakers will demand the international community to raise its voice for the right of self-determination of the Kashmiri people and take practical steps to stop India from violating human rights.

He further said that the gravest violations of human rights by the Indian government and the occupying forces have become the norm in occupied Kashmir.

Uzair said the entire state has been turned into a prison where 12 million people are living under the fear of terror and death. He maintained that thousands of Kashmiri citizens are living a miserable life in Indian prisons, who have been booked without any legal trials.

Thousands of innocent youth are in jails, black laws are being used unabated, while fake encounters, enforced disappearances, raids, sieges, demolition of houses, and land grabbing have severely affected the lives of Kashmiris.

He said that now is the time for us to become the voice of the oppressed Kashmiris. “The world must be told that the worst human rights violations are continuing in occupied Kashmir, and the international conscience cannot remain silent any longer,” he added.
