ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan has launched online visas for 192 countries and visa on arrival for 120 countries. Federal Minister for the Investment Board, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, announced this at the Sustainable Tourism Forum and Expo.
The event was organized by FPCCI and the Islamic Chamber of Commerce. Under the new digital system, foreign visitors can apply online for a visa. The process is fast, simple, and transparent.
Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh said the reforms will promote international tourism. The reforms make it easier for visitors to enjoy Pakistan’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.
The program represents Pakistan’s economic and tourism reform agenda, which aims to create business investment opportunities while making business operations simpler. Tourism creates jobs, which boost trade and increase GDP, according to him.
FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh said Pakistan’s cultural and geographical diversity makes it unique for tourists. Pakistan will attract international tourists, business travelers, and investors through improved security and contemporary digital systems, which will especially benefit the adventure, heritage, and eco-tourism sectors.
