ORMARA (Kashmir English): Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) have successfully rescued all 20 Pakistani crew members from a sinking cargo dhow operating east of Ormara, Balochistan, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), PNS Hunain and the required aerial assets were diverted to undertake a rescue operation upon “receipt of a distress call to the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre”.

“All 20 crew members were safely recovered from the distressed vessel due to the professionalism displayed by the rescuers,” ISPR said, adding that all those rescued are being provided with the necessary medical attention.

“The successful operation underscores Pakistan Navy’s and Pakistan Maritime Security Agency’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety of life at sea and their readiness to respond to maritime emergencies around the clock,” the statement added.
