ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has extended restrictions on Indian aircraft using Pakistani airspace until November 24, 2026, according to a new Notice to Airmen (NOTAM).
Under NOTAM A0590, Indian airlines and Indian-registered, leased, commercial and military aircraft will remain barred from Pakistani airspace until 5 am on November 24, 2026.
Pakistan first closed its airspace to Indian aircraft on April 23, 2025, and the restrictions have remained in place since then.
This NOTAM applies to both the Karachi (OPKR) and Lahore (OPLR) FIRs.
The continued closure has forced Indian carriers to use alternative flight routes for certain international journeys, potentially increasing flight times and operating costs.
