ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan batter Hassan Nawaz has been brought back into the Desert Vipers squad for the fifth season of the International League T20 (ILT20).
The 23-year-old will replace England’s Aneurin Donald, who has been called up for England’s T20 International series against Australia.
This will not be Hassan’s first stint with the Vipers. He was part of the side that won the ILT20 title earlier this year and is now set to rejoin the team for the new season.
Hassan has also been in action in other T20 leagues. He scored 291 runs at a strike rate of 134.1 in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and made another 220 runs for Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). The Falcons also went on to win the title.
Desert Vipers chief executive Phil Oliver welcomed the batter’s return, noting that Hassan already knew the team well and had played an important part in its success last season.
