LONDON (Kashmir English): The Pakistan cricket team is expected to receive a royal welcome during its ongoing tour of the United Kingdom, with the national players likely to meet King Charles after the second Test against England at Lord’s.
According to sources, the meeting is expected to take place on September 2, following the conclusion of the second Test. The Pakistani delegation is likely to be led by Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, while members of the national team are also expected to attend the royal engagement.
Pakistan and England are currently involved in a three-Test series. The second Test is scheduled to begin at the historic Lord’s Cricket Ground on August 27.
If the meeting takes place as planned, it will add a memorable royal dimension to Pakistan’s UK cricket tour, bringing together the national team and British royal tradition.
