MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Preparations are in full swing across Muzaffarabad for the celebration of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, marking Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
The main square of the city, major roads, government offices, private buildings, and other prominent locations have been decorated with colourful electric lights and illuminated decorations. Mosques across the city have also been beautifully decorated to mark the occasion.
The city has begun to take on a festive atmosphere as preparations continue for the blessed day. Residents and religious organizations are arranging Naat and Milad gatherings at various locations across Muzaffarabad.
Special religious programmes are being organized where Naat reciters will pay tribute to the Holy Prophet (PBUH), while speakers will highlight different aspects of his life, teachings and message of peace, compassion and brotherhood.
The celebrations have brought a visible sense of religious enthusiasm to the city, with streets, buildings and important public places illuminated ahead of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal.
Citizens are also participating in the preparations by decorating their neighbourhoods, mosques and homes. The illuminated streets and buildings are adding to the festive atmosphere throughout the city.
Further Naat and Milad gatherings are expected to be held at different locations on the occasion, with devotees coming together to express their love and devotion for the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
