ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The government has banned direct payments to private Hajj operators under the Private Hajj Scheme.
According to media reports, the booking of the Private Hajj Scheme 2027 has officially started, however, for the first time, booking, package selection, and all payments will be made only through the Pak Hajj App and Hajj Portal under the supervision of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Hajj pilgrims will also select a private company only through the Pak Hajj App or Hajj Portal, while paying money directly to any private operator or unauthorized agent will not be acceptable.
Authorities have warned that in case of payment to any unauthorized agent or individual, the applicant himself will be fully responsible.
71,696 pilgrims will perform Hajj under the Private Hajj Scheme 2027, while more than 105,000 people have registered on the Pak Hajj App so far.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has clarified that currently 25 authorized private Hajj companies are registered with the ministry and only the packages of these companies will be available through the official Hajj portal and Pak Hajj app.
