ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The date for receiving applications for Hajj 2027 under the government scheme has been changed, with the application process now scheduled to begin on August 18 instead of August 17.
According to media reports, applications and Hajj expenses will be collected online and through designated Habib Bank Limited (HBL) branches, with applications to be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
The application process will be closed once the allocated quota is filled, the report added.
Pakistan’s total Hajj quota for 2027 has been set at 179,210 pilgrims. According to the figures provided, 60 percent, or 107,526 pilgrims, have been allocated to the government Hajj scheme, while 40 percent, or 71,684 pilgrims, have been allocated to the private Hajj scheme.
Hajj expenses will be collected from pilgrims in two equal installments. Under the announced arrangement, applicants will be required to deposit 50 percent of the total Hajj expenses at the time of submitting their applications, while the remaining amount will be paid later.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has advised intending pilgrims to submit their applications and required payments through the designated channels within the prescribed period.
