RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): Pakistan Army organized a free medical camp (FMC) in Rawalakot on Thursday to provide healthcare services to residents affected by the ongoing sit-in in the area.
According to officials, the camp was established at 15 Chowk, Rawalakot, after the ongoing protest disrupted routine healthcare services for the local population.
A total of 141 patients received medical treatment at the camp, including 39 men, 52 women, 31 children and 19 senior citizens.
Two patients requiring specialized care were referred to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalakot. Officials said medicines worth Rs5,380 were distributed free of cost during the camp.
The medical camp provided outpatient consultations, free medical examinations, blood pressure and blood sugar monitoring, medicines, as well as health education and counselling services.
Sources said that the free medical camp received a positive response from the local population, with a rise in patient turnout today.
