MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Independence Day celebrations have begun across Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), with rallies, fireworks, and patriotic gatherings held in Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, and Kotli.

In Muzaffarabad, a rally was taken out from Quaid-e-Azam Bridge as citizens gathered to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day.

The air echoed with enthusiastic slogans of Pakistan Zindabad as people continued to take part in celebrations across the capital.

Spectacular fireworks were displayed at various places in the city, including the Muzaffarabad Stadium. A large number of citizens came out of their homes to participate in the celebrations.

Moreover, the 80th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated with a grand fireworks display at Sikandar Hayat Sports Stadium in Kotli, with slogans echoed, including “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Kashmir Banega Pakistan”.

Meanwhile, grand celebrations were also held in Mirpur. A large rally was taken out from Quaid-e-Azam Stadium, with hundreds of vehicles participating and Pakistani and Azad Kashmir flags prominently displayed.

The rally was attended by Deputy Commissioner Chaudhry Sajid Aslam, SSP Khurram Iqbal, and a large number of civil society representatives and citizens.

The rally proceeded through Kotli Road, Hall Road, Mian Muhammad Road, and Allama Iqbal Road before returning to the cricket stadium.

A spectacular fireworks display was also held at the stadium in connection with the Independence Day celebrations.

The Independence Day celebrations in Mirpur created excitement among the citizens, and green crescent flags were seen flying across the city.
