DUBAI (Kashmir English): A crucial match will be played between Pakistan and arch-rivals India in the Women’s Asia Cup 2026 today.
The two teams will face each other at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
India has been performing brilliantly in the Women’s Asia Cup 2026 so far, defeating Thailand and Hong Kong by 94 and 137 runs respectively in their opening two matches and is at the top of Group A, while Pakistan has defeated Thailand by 35 runs in its only match.

PakW vs ThaiW: Pakistan make winning start in Women’s Asia Cup
Pakistan Women started the event with a win by defeating Thailand Women by 35 runs in the Group A match between (PakW vs ThaiW) of the Women’s Asia Cup played in Dubai.
Batting first, Pakistan scored 119 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Muniba Ali played a prominent innings of 54 runs, while Sadaf Shams scored 20, Um Hani scored 17 and Tuba Hassan scored 12 runs in just 4 balls.
Thipatcha Putthawong and Suleeporn Laomi took 3 wickets each, while Maya dismissed 2 players.
Chasing a target of 120 runs, the Thai team could score 84 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
Chanida Sutthiruang was the standout with 25 runs, while Naruemol Chaiwai scored 17 runs.
Sadia Iqbal bowled brilliantly for Pakistan, taking 3 wickets. Tooba Hassan took 2, while Fatima Sana and Neshra Sindhu took one wicket each.
