RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Pakistan has won the toss against Sri Lanka and has decided to field in the second Pak vs Sri-Lanka One Day International (ODI) held in Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
In this match, Salman Ali Agha is leading Pakistan in the absence of Shaheen Afridi. Pakistan is leading the series 1-0.
Earlier in the first match, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 6 runs after a thrilling contest. In this match played in Rawalpindi, Pakistan scored 299 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated overs, thanks to Salman Ali Agha’s brilliant century, and gave Sri Lanka a target of 300 runs to win.
Salman Ali Agha remained unbeaten on 105 runs off 87 balls; his innings included 9 fours. Hussain Talat played an impressive innings of 62 runs off 63 balls. Fakhar Zaman was dismissed for 32 and Babar Azam for 29 runs, while Saim Ayub and Mohammad Rizwan returned to the pavilion after scoring 6 runs.
For Sri Lanka, Vinod Hasaranga took three wickets by playing a quick innings of 59 runs. Sudheera 39, Kamil Mishara 38, and captain Asalanka 32 could score, but this was not enough to give the team victory.
For Pakistan, Haris Rauf took four wickets for 61 runs, while Faheem Ashraf and Naseem Shah took 2 wickets each.
