MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Overseas Kashmiri and PML-N leader Haji Raja Ehsan Danish has said that overseas Pakistanis are standing like a rock with the Pakistan Armed Forces and are ready to make any sacrifice. Speaking in an interview with Kashmir Digital, he emphasised that the recent Overseas Convention was the need of the hour and sent a strong, positive message across the world.

Haji Ehsan Danish spent 32 years in Saudi Arabia starting from his days as a labourer before establishing himself as an investor. He described how overseas Pakistanis had adopted a dangerous mentality against sending foreign remittances which he considered concerning and harmful.

He criticised political elements that, according to him, tried to push Pakistan towards default. He expressed regret over such actions but praised the Prime Minister and the Army Chief for restoring trust by reaching out to overseas Pakistanis. Their efforts, he said, have been 90 per cent successful, with nearly all demands of overseas Pakistanis addressed, leaving only minor matters pending.

Haji Ehsan Danish praised the open and clear speech delivered by Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, especially on the Kashmir issue, where he firmly stated that there would be no compromise. He also condemned acts of terrorism, stressing that terrorism has no link with Islam or Pakistan.

Commenting further, he said Pakistan has now escaped the clutches of the IMF, and record foreign remittances have been received from overseas Pakistanis, something he claimed India finds hard to digest. He reaffirmed that overseas Pakistanis and Kashmiris are fully supportive of the Pakistani government and armed forces.

He warned that if any hostile eye was cast towards Pakistan, overseas Pakistanis would be ready to sacrifice their lives and wealth. Criticising India, he said that had India not conducted nuclear tests, Pakistan would not have needed to respond in kind. He recalled past incidents, including the downing of Indian aircraft and the capture of pilot Abhinandan, as evidence of Pakistan’s defensive strength.

Haji Ehsan Danish also praised the Pakistani government’s firm response to recent provocations and questioned the legitimacy of blaming Pakistan without proper investigations into the Pahalgam incident. He concluded by advising young Kashmiris seeking to go abroad to use reliable agencies and to always transfer money through banks, avoiding risky schemes like “free visas.”
