QUETTA (Kashmir English): At least seven more militants were eliminated in the ongoing “Operation Shaban” in Balochistan, according to sources.

After the attack on the Mangi Dam police check post in Balochistan, the security forces and the police are conducting a joint “Operation Shaban” against the Khawarij.

According to security sources, air and ground operations are underway against the Khawarij in the area.

The security forces targeted the khawarijs hiding in the rugged mountainous areas through coordinated ground and air actions.

Security sources say that the total number of those killed in Operation Shaban has reached 64, while 102 Khawarij have been killed in Operation Shaban and other intelligence-based operations.

Security sources said that Operation Shaban will continue in Balochistan until the last terrorist is eliminated.

The Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, and Balochistan Police launched Operation Shaban following the militants’ attack on the Mangi Dam police post in Ziarat district on Tuesday, in which 27 police personnel were martyred.

On the other hand, the President, Prime Minister, and Interior Minister paid tribute to the security forces in the ongoing Operation Shaban against terrorists.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that it is necessary to root out terrorists; the enemies of peace will not find a place to hide anywhere.
