OGRA slashes LNG prices by up to 27.71%

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has reduced the prices of liquefied natural gas (LNG) by 27.71 percent and issued a notification announcing the reduction.

Under the new prices, LNG has become cheaper by $6.81 per MMBTU for Sui Northern and $6.95 per MMBTU for Sui Southern.

After this decision, consumers in both of the country’s major gas distribution systems are likely to receive significant financial relief.

According to the OGRA’s notification, the price of LNG for the Sui Northern gas pipeline system has been reduced by $6.81 per MMBTU. After this reduction, the new price of LNG for Sui Northern has been fixed at $19.03 per MMBTU.

Earlier, the previous price of LNG on the Sui Northern system was at a high level of $25.84 per MMBTU.

According to the notification, there has also been a significant reduction in LNG prices for the Sui Southern Gas Company system, where the price has been reduced by $6.95 per MMBTU.

As a result of this reduction, the new price of LNG on the Sui Southern system has been fixed at $18.13 per MMBTU.

Earlier, the previous price of LNG for the Sui Southern system was recorded at $25.08 per MMBTU.
