ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government on Monday massively hiked the petrol and diesel prices for September 8, a few days after the petrol price was reduced by Rs 3.13 per liter.
According to the notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol was increased by Rs 12.90 per liter, and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs 3.72 per liter.
“The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has revised the ex-depot prices of the petroleum products for September 8, 2026,” the notification stated.
With the latest revision, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 358.77 per liter and diesel at Rs 381.77 per liter.

On September 4, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) reduced the petrol price to Rs 345.87 per liter and hiked the diesel price to Rs 378.05 per liter.
The revised prices are in line with the government’s ongoing policy of issuing fuel prices on a daily basis from Monday to Friday based on international oil markets.
