MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The people of Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, have also completely rejected the strike and shutdown call given by the banned Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), after which the situation across the city is completely peaceful and normal.

The latest scenes and footage from various and most important markets of the capital, Muzaffarabad, clearly reflect that all the small and big commercial centers and markets of the city are open.

Shops are populated, and a large number of ordinary citizens along with buyers are coming to the markets without fear or danger, due to which the continuity of economic activities in the region seems to be fully maintained.

Traffic Unaffected

Public and private traffic is also moving smoothly on the main highways and roads of the city. Citizens are not facing any kind of hindrance or disruption in their daily activities, jobs and business travel.

Trade organizations and ordinary citizens say that they are no longer ready to be part of any kind of violent action, chaos or illegal movement that damages businesses.

The people of Muzaffarabad have given a clear and unequivocal message that the future of the state will not be decided by street sit-ins or wheel-jam strikes, but by peace, stability and the power of the ballot box in the upcoming general elections.
